Dashing through the snow - 3 challenges

Hi, I've got a Christmas card to share this morning.  This is going into 3 challenges.

For those of you reading my posts through email, click HERE to read directly from my blog.

Catered Crop, Accentuate the Negative - Using negative die cuts or punches

My card ~

Just for fun, I added a few hoof prints to the inside of the card.

I layered my colored cardstock pieces onto a scrap piece, then die cut them.  Then I made a couple of reference marks on the card base so that I would know where to stamp the sleigh and horse image. I popped up the die cut panel with foam adhesive.
I love the look of negative die cuts, even though it's something I don't do often.  I'm really liking my card, but I think I would use lighter, brighter colors next time I use gradients of color.  This card turned out much darker than I planned.  Hmmm.  Do your cards ever seem to take off in a direction of their own?

Thanks for taking a look today.

Supplies:
card stock: very vanilla, sahara sand, going gray, basic gray (Stampin' Up!)
stamps: in the meadow (Papertrey Ink)
ink: onyx black (Versafine), basic black (SU)
other: in the meadow die (PTI), gray ribbon (SU), clear gem (the Paper Studio), snowflake punch (MS), linen thread (SU)

BTW, Isaiah 41 is just what I needed this morning; and there it was in the sidebar of your blog. I love it when God uses our creativity to draw attention to Himself.
