Fun Times - a card for two challenges

I started this card on Saturday morning...and finished it this morning.  It's one of those cards that I worked on whenever I had a few minutes.  But.  It's finished!
I spent time with one of my sisters-in-law on Thursday, working in her kitchen to prepare for a big event on Saturday.  We talked quite a bit while we worked.  And one of the things we talked about was our parents.

So, when I saw the inspiration photo for CASE Study #145 challenge, I knew that I wanted to use a photo of my parents on my card.

Then I saw the beautiful colors at The Play Date Cafe #190.  So sweet!
Their colors are described as "burnt umber, honey &  butter".  Yummy colors, right?

I went clean and simple, to keep the focus on the photo of my parents.

It's a very simple card, really.  More Mustard & Barely Banana card stock from Stampin' Up!, patterned paper from the Sunshine 6 x 6 pad by My Mind's Eye.  Stamps from PTI and the Precious Remembrance Shop.  And...that photo of my parents.  I love this one!  I believe this was taken shortly before or shortly after they were married.  I miss them both so much, but I appreciate the years we (my sister and I) had with them.  They were wonderfully kind, caring, loving and giving parents.  What more could anyone ask for?
Thank you stopping by my blog, it means a lot to me.  I hope you'll leave a comment!
