A good friend of mine is retiring, so I wanted to make a gift for her. Well, it wasn't difficult to come up with an idea. She is my "gardening mentor". I don't have a vegetable garden, but I do have lots of flowering plants. And, when I first ventured into flower gardening Trudy was my "go to" person when I had questions. She has given me starts of plants and seeds, so I knew the gift had to be garden or nature related!
I started with a plain white box from Micheal's and covered it with SU! dsp. I embellished it with some ribbon, a couple of die cuts, prima flowers and a rhinestone brad. I made a total of 6 cards and 6 seed packets to go inside the box. I tied each bundle together with some pretty ribbon.
Since I love flower gardening so much, it was fun to come up with designs for all of these nature/garden themed cards. It was great to be able to combine my two favorite hobbies into one project. Flower gardening and stamping...I was in my element!!!
Now that Trudy is retiring, I told her....GO GARDEN! And, she will!
