A Big THANK YOU to Cath!

That big Thank You is for Cath Edvalson at the Moxie Fab World blog.  Cath recently announced that she is leaving the MFW blog.  You can click HERE to read her post.  It was a shock to so many of us (me included) that have followed the blog for years.  I adore Cath's style, love the inspiration she provided, couldn't wait to read each Moxie Fabber of the Week interview.  Oh my...I could go on and on.  Truly.

So, I was thrilled to be invited to participate in the Moxie Fab Thanks! Blog Hop.  Thank you Cath for always giving us more than we ever could have imagined!  Hey Girlie, YOU ROCK!

If you're following along the blog hop, you should have come from Cristina Nuenez' blog.  Becky Olsen is next on the hop, so just follow the link!  If you didn't start at the beginning you can click HERE to go to the Moxie Fab World blog.  You can also use the Inlinkz blog hop list, below.  Yes...it's huge!

You'll see how important Cath is to so many of us, and what she has done for the paper crafting community as a whole.  Oh my, you are Moxie Fab Cath!  I can't wait to see what you do next. :)

CASADIA, PDCC#417...a thank you

Hello!  This card was created for a couple of challenges.
A couple of weeks ago I asked Wida Miller if I could join in her CASADIA card chain.  In case you're not a stamper...CASE means Copy And Share Everything.  You copy elements of someone else's card, but put your own twist on it.
If you haven't heard about CASADIA yet, I'll let Wida explain it.
"This story all started when I saw a card Jennifer Rzasa CASED which was made by Laura Bassen. I decided to CASE Jennifer's card. I had a fun idea to start a card chain by CASEing cards, hence the name Case+idea=CASADIA. This page is dedicated to seeing how far the chain can go."

Fun, right???

This is Laura's card that started it all.

You can click HERE to go to Wida's blog "Beachorado".  Just look for the CASADIA tab (or click on the link) and you'll see all of the participants cards and how 1 card evolved into another.
Anyway, a few days ago Wida notified me I'm up next!  I'm just a LITTLE excited.  Eeeck!

I'm CASEing this wonderful card by Darnell Knauss at kjkardkreations.

My card is also going into The Play Date Cafe #174 challenge.  They're using 2 of my favorite colors...purple and green.  Take a look at the gorgeous color inspiration.

This is what I created.

I was inspired by the stripes in Darnell's patterned papers and I wanted to use the same general layout.  I wanted to keep my card clean and simple, so I stamped my sentiment directly onto the patterned paper.  After die cutting the roses and leaves, I used some SU markers to add a bit more color to give the feeling of a little more dimension.

Thanks for taking a look.  And a big Thank You to Wida for letting me join in the fun with CASADIA!

Thank You...etc!

I'm sharing a Thank You card that I made for the Color Throwdown Challenge CTD223.
I really like this color combo, so I had to find a little time to play along.  Here's what I came up with.

Well.  This card just didn't turn out the way I imagined it.  I'm just not feelin' it. :(
I think it needs something...but I can't figure out what.
I stamped the sentiment vertically in crumb cake and kiwi kiss inks.  Then used the same sentiment for the focal piece.  The border on that piece is embossed with early espresso embossing powder.  That's what I *thought* would make it pop.  I added 3 little gems and a bow to finish my card.
Anyway, thanks so much for taking a look today.  I appreciate all of my visitors!

Supplies:
Card stock: naturals ivory (SU)
Ink: crumb cake, kiwi kiss, soft suede (SU), versamark (Tsukineko)
Stamps: framed fonts (PTI)
Other: early espresso EP (SU), kraft twill ribbon (PTI), gems (Recollections), foam tape (3M)

Sending A Big Thank You - CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

Hello!  I've created a thank you card that I'll be placing in the current challenge at CAS-ual Fridays CFC58 - Pretty in Pink

My card ~

I decided to go with a very simple card today.  I stamped the stitched lines in 3 shades of pink.  The sentiment is stamped with one of the new Stampin' Up! colors...Primrose Petal.  The card base is the same color. I used a Stardust clear glitter pen to add a few highlights to the words Thank You.   I've never been much of a fan of pink.  But...I'm finding that I am really liking this Primrose Petal.  In fact, I've almost used up this color out of the multi-pack of In Color card stock that I bought recently. And, you'll see more of this color in my next post (a pair of shoes!)

Thanks so much for taking a look today!

What's in it?
card stock: primrose petal, whisper white (SU)
stamps: stitched together (CTMH), a big thank you (PTI)
ink: blushing bride, pretty in pink, pink pirouette, primrose petal (SU)
other: corner cutter (Photo-Max), stardust clear glitter pen (Sakura), foam tape (3M)
