Hi! Just a very, very quick post to share I card I created this afternoon...just because. Do you ever get an idea for a card and it just stays there until you just "have to" make the card? Or is that just me?
I have a pack of patterned paper that had this eyeglass print and I wanted to fussy cut those glasses and add glossy accents to the lenses. So...I finally did.
This card went through many changes before it looked right to me. More layers. Less layers. Different angles. Well...you know.
I used an alphabet stamp set for the word SEE, then hand wrote the rest of the sentiment.
Did you notice the red gems on those glasses? Yeah...a little bling. :)
Well, gotta go. Thanks for taking a look!

Sending Smiles!
Hi! I've missed playing along in challenges lately and when I went browsing yesterday, I found several (actually a lot!) that I would love to play along with, if I had the time. So, I managed to create only one card...but I'm linking to 3 challenges. Take a look!
Virginia's View #14 - Layers and Dimension
RetroSketches rs#159
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Pastels
This is how I combined the 3 challenges.
My pastel felt and card stock really don't look very "pastel" in these photos. No matter what photo editing software I used, it I couldn't get the true color in my photos. The color is actually a light aqua.
I began with a white card base, then layered on some shimmery white card stock cut with a pinking shears die along the bottom. Next was a layer of patterned paper, then aqua card stock, followed by some vintage crochet trim. The notched flowers were die cut and topped with a button, tied with white thread. The final pieces were a sentiment stamped on a tag, then a few enamel dots.
I do LOVE layering, even though I haven't done much of it lately. Hmmm. I'll be doing more of that as soon as I get the chance to play again.
Well, gotta go. I'm baking and it's almost time to get back to the kitchen!
Supplies ~
card stock: white (Recollections), shimmery white (SU), pool party core'dinations (SU)
patterned paper: follow your heart/be amazing (MME)
ink: smokey gray (Versafine)
stamps: up and away (Mama Elephant)
dies: pinking shears border (PTI), notched flowers (PTI)
other: tag punch (SU), vintage crochet trim (from my stash), white baker's twine (SU), enamel dots (MME), aqua mist and cream felt (PTI), embellishments artisan kit (SU)
