Because I Care - Paper Players Anything Goes Challenge

Monday, May 30, 2011
How could I resist an "anything goes" challenge?  Play along and  get to use whatever techniques I want...you bet.  I've had the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set (by Stampin' Up!) sitting on my craft table for a week, because I wanted to use it.  I was just looking for the right opportunity.  And...this was it!

This is the challenge at The Paper Players - Challenge #49, Anything Goes

Also...I have found so many inspiration photos on Pinterest.  Gorgeous photos!  I took the colors for my card from this photo on Pinterest.

There are SO many fun paper crafting techniques.  But, I have to admit, heat embossing and dry embossing are still two of my favorites.  And...I've recently discovered how much I enjoy fussy cutting or paper piecing.  For some reason it relaxes me, and that's something I didn't expect.  Who would've thought?
Anyway, I've incorporated all 3 techniques into this card.
I am really pleased with the results  :o)   I stamped several images for each rose, then cut them into 3 layers and used dimensional adhesive to assemble them.  Oh, before I adhered them I used a SU marker to add a little extra color to the edge of each petal.

Thank you so much for stopping in.  I hope you'll leave a comment; I read them all.  And I love to get inspiration from your blogs!
