Thinking of You & 2 challenges

Saturday July 2, 2011
Just a short post today.  Yes, it's another busy weekend.  Busy...but very good!  Spending time with some of my family and some of my husbands family, too.

This card is going to 2 challenges.

Just Us Girls #91 - a sketch challenge
My card ~

One of my favorite techniques is sponging, so that's what I chose to do.  I think the JUGS sketch was perfect for a sponged image.  Yes, I love sponging.  But.  Sometimes it goes well.  And sometimes, it doesn't.  This panel is my 2nd attempt.  It's still not exactly what I had in mind - but it turned out much better than the first one.  So...it's staying.
This card is going to an uncle who is recuperating from surgery.  We had a wonderful visit with him yesterday, but I still want to send him a card.  Just a little reminder of how important he is to us!
Thanks so much for stopping in!  I hope you'll leave a comment :)
