Brighter Days - CAS-ual Fridays Challenge

Hi there!  Just a very quick post this evening.  I usually don't have the time to stamp during the work week.  But, I wanted to make a card for one of my church friends who is quite ill.  I want her to know that she's in my thoughts and prayers, so I needed to make time for this card.

This card is going into the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge, CFC49.

I love playing along with their challenges, but this weeks sketch had me stumped ALL weekend.  The idea for this card just popped into my head this evening, while I was thinking about my friend.  I'm thinking that I had a little help from above, so I'm not taking full credit for this card :)

My card ~

This card came together very quickly.  That is SO rare for me.  Trust me.  I stamped, then cut out the clouds.  Both are mounted on foam tape, but the smaller could has a double layer of tape.  The sun was cut out of yellow glitter paper with a Spellbinders pinking die and tucked behind the clouds.  Then a sentiment and a tiny hummingbird...and my card is complete.  I hope it brings a smile to my friend's face, at least for a while.

Thank you for taking a look!

Supplies:
ink: baja breeze, night of navy (SU)
stamps: heartfelt mix (WPlus9), thinking big favorites #10, grunge me (PTI)
card stock: white (PTI), yellow glitter (Michaels)
other: small pinking circles (Spellbinders), foam tape (3M), scor-tape (Sookwang)

  4. Just lovely, Susie. Reminds me of 'the sun will come out tomorrow' from Annie. I think I'll have to CASE this one!
