Dynamic Duos #64 - An Anniversary Card

Hi!  It's time for a new color challenge.  It's Dynamic Duos #64.  We're using one of Stampin' Up!'s brand new colors...Strawberry Slush as one half of the duo this week.  I had to break open my new pack, since I've not used this color before.  These colors say "summer time" don't they?   Hmmm.  Maybe strawberry lemonade?

Actually, I needed to create an anniversary card for an Aunt & Uncle who will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary this month.  What a happy occasion!

Once I finally decided on a layout, and where I would use each color (yeah, it took a long time), then I had fun with this card.  I was stamping with a couple of friends the day I made this card and one of them was using an edge punch and paper crimper to make cardstock "ruffles".  It was so pretty!  So I just had to use her technique on this card.  I'm really pleased with the texture it adds.  Thank you Cheryl!
See that tiny heart with the date of the 25th?  I coated it with a bit of glossy accents for bit of shine.  And the pom pom trim?  It's from SU.  I've been waiting for the right card to use this sweet trim.  Love it!

Hey, I've talked long enough.  Click on over to the Dynamic Duos challenge and take a look at the great projects that my team mates have created for your inspiration.  You can also find links to their blogs in my sidebar.
Thank for taking a look today!
